An FYI comment...might come in handy one day.
When I am editing a lot of photos, I often use "Auto Smart Fix" just to see if PSE knows better than my eyes. I stay with the Auto Smart Fix suggestions about one third of the time. It tends to over darken images but that often leads me to adjust levels manually, so it serves a function.
The PSE shortcut for "Auto Smart Fix" is <ctrl><alt><M> and it is handy. But it never worked with either PSE 2021 or 2023. So I had to us the menu to activate "Auto smart fix."
The other day I got frustrated and so Googled the issue. The problem was that another program, NVIDIA Control Panel, had that short cut tied up. Seems a bit odd since many programs us the same shortcuts such as <ctrl><C> or <ctrl><P>. Anyway, I deactivated the NVIDIA use of <ctrl><alt><M> and now that shortcut works fine in PSE.

It's always nice to find find out why something doesn't work that should. Doesn't matter if anything is only a small irritation, it's still satisfying to resolve it. A good bit of research there Clive, well done.
