Spent a couple of days walking in Sydney's Blue Mountains this week and spotted these lovelies - just a few of the abundance I could hear but not see. Yellow Breasted Robin Wattle Bird Rosella Unidentified Sublime Point Lookout

What wonderful bird photos. I had a small wooded area in my backyard and birds were the focus. DH had so many bird feeders and seed bags, plus a whole garage of huge seed sacks. And yea, the mice found it and managed to get seeds from the garage into the basement walls. We caught 50 mice that winter. When we removed the insulation from the top edge of the basement wall, we found numerous 'homes' where they had stored seeds. Needless to say, we were more careful with the seeds after that. I wonder why I never made a scrapbook page of that episode in my life. It would've been so cool.
Here are my some of my birds - the top photos are from some bird site, the bottom photo was mine - you can see the thistle seed bags

What purpose does the lock serve other that to make little boys ask questions ? I think it's just part of that trend where young lovers put padlocks on bridges and suchlike, but I could be wrong. I just thought it gave an interesting foreground detail!
