Loose Leaf Chewing Tobacco
The gentleman on the left tobacco of choice appears to be Levi Garrett; whereas, Ol' Sideburns is working on a pouch of Stoker's Red Supreme.
Both of these old men used to prefer Mammoth Cave Twist, requiring a sharp knife to cut off a plug.
I don't know what has forced their changeover to pouch tobacco, whether it be loss of teeth or economic concerns.
Needless to say, both have chewed more in their lifetimes than a tobacco warehouse could hold; they have chewed so much and so long that their jaws perpetually appear to hold a big cud even when empty.

Okay, a note about the overalls:
If you are observant, you may have noticed that just about everyone in my photos who wear overalls are wearing Liberty overalls.
There is a reason for this and it is not particularly that they have a preference for Liberty brand.
Forty years ago, you could go into any of seven clothing stores on Main Street(all long since shuttered and the windows boarded up) and have your choice of many many brands and styles of overalls.
Today, and for the last fifteen or more years, if you are in my county and have the misfortune to bust the seat out of your britches, there is nowhere in the county where you can buy a new pair of pants --- nowhere at all --- think about that for a minute...
Pointer was way and above the brand of choice, with Big Ben, Duck Head, Dee Cee, Osh Kosh, Walls, Red Kap, and many others all having their loyal followers; even Dollar General Store had their Open Trails line.
Then there were High-backs and Low-backs.
In these poverty-row third-world communities, Super Walmart moved in two counties over and soon thereafter all the independent clothing and shoe stores locked there doors forever, soon to be followed by all the good grocery stores.
Walmart does not have overalls.
None of these old men have internet, cell phones, or computers; definitely no credit cards; unless their gossiping wives rule the roost at home, most don't even have a land-line telephone nor television; they prefer to do their business cash-in-hand.
TSC/Tractor Supply does still carry overalls --- Liberty brand overalls --- and, in the next county over, there actually is a TSC store where you can walk through the door and actually see and feel the overalls, carry them to the counter, lay down your cash, and put them on right there in the parking lot and wear them home.
So, living such non-connected lives, and with Liberty overalls being all they can get, then Liberty overalls are all they wear.
If you see one wearing anything else, then he has a grand-daughter or niece or daughter-in-law getting them for him "On Line"
