A relative sent me a phone picture that she would like to use for a Christmas card. I have tried converting it to a smart object and clipping it to a 4x6 in. document. Tried upscaling with Gigapixel Downloaded a trial of Pixelmator Pro. Everything I have tried comes out pixelated. This is the size of the image I was sent:  |

The person should have the original image, no?
Frustrating when people send small images from phones.

Hi Helen - I just have to ask how old is the phone it was taken on that it is only 0.17megapixels. Could it be that the image was resized to send?

Saw your post and quickly messaged her, fotofrank. She said the picture was taken by someone she doesn't know well. She said if she sees her over Christmas she will ask. It would definitely be good to know, thanks for thinking of that. Meanwhile she went with another picture for her card and happened to send me a message just as I was reading your post! |

Well this story has a happy ending so figured I should update the post. She is sending a 5x7 card. It will have 5 pictures. So the picture in question should end up being fine as it will only be a small section of the card.
