Critique Welcome

To me, it seems the various pieces don't actually go together
i.e., the title and candies are strong colored and the photo is soft

I added the color behind Christmas because it seemed too bland, and I kinda like that, but...
Word Art is an, well, art. It's a learned skill - trial and error - and I'm still learning

I wanted to outline the perimeter of the layout because it seemed unfinished, but I overdo that technique, so...

Photo template: freebie from Ashe Design - add photos to ornaments
(I decided to make the photo area so large because otherwise, the photos you place in the ornaments are too small to see)
Photo template masked to take away the harshness of edges

Christmas font: Kingthings Christmas - free font
Other font: Rainbow Universe - free font

Thanks for sharing, Janice. I've gotten the template and will attempt to create a page using the same template. It might be fun to see how many different looks we could get using the same template. A project for later today......hopefully!

I love the ornaments. Of course they are many great things to purchase at Ashe Design. A lot of them would work well with your granddaughter's photos.

I forgot I already had this Ashe Design template and went and downloaded it again!
Anyway I had a play with it and this is the result.
I used items including the BG Paper from ‘The Sky’s The Limit’ kit by G&T Designs.
Mask my own, other items from HiClipart.

I loved the color combo you used in this layout, Janice. So that was the inspiration for my color choices.

My first attempt resulted in the ornaments being too large I thought.
Pictures were taken the other night for Today's picture but I decided against using them.

So then I tried to add that to another page.

The Christmas tree and branch were freebees that I had acquired some time ago.

I like both your pages Helen but if I was forced to choose between the two I think I would veer more towards the first one. I couldn't comment earlier as I couldn't see either of them. I got the dreaded blue square from imgbb telling me that the service wasn't available but all seems fine now.

EDIT: Spoke too soon as I can't see photos in the 'Today's Picture' thread for the same reason as above.
