I have been watching a video where the user has PE9 & is using Magic Extractor.
Using one tool he selects what he want's to keep then another tool to select what he want's to remove etc.
He then saves the file & imports the image into his workpiece.

What is the tool in PSE12 that will do this as i dont see MAGIC EXTRACTOR

Hi ipbr21054,

Adobe removed the Magic Extractor in PSE 12. This was one of several changes they implemented due to transitioning Elements from a 32- to a 64-bit app.

64-bit versions:

Windows -- PSE 13 and above
Mac -- PSE 12 and above

A handful of features from previous versions are not available in Photoshop Elements 12 due to new product support for 64-bit systems.

The Magic Extractor Tool

Alternative: Use the Quick select tool together with the Refine Edge tool to quickly select and extract anything from your photos.

As Sepiana noted the Magic Extractor is not available in PSE 12.

See if the information on these two pages from the Adobe Manual for PE 12 might help you.
