Struggling to get the prints to come out as on the screen. Using Mac Studio with Sonoma 14xxx. Prints come out "muddy and dark". I've tried the "Epson controls" (see attachment) as suggested from other sites but to print dialogue ends up being screwed up (see attachment 2). I used to be able to adjust in the print dialogue box but that is not available - something seems screwed up. Any help/insights would be appreciated.

Thanks for your suggestion Pete. That didn't seem to work for me. After much "mining" on the internet I found this video on the problem with Apple and AirPrint. Somehow an update on my computer or printer changed the print from regular to AirPrint. www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnHsYobka5c

I have given up printing from PSE. I save as a jpg and print from that.

Worth checking that you don't have colour profile control set on both the printer and software. I think it's normal to let your printer manage the colour profile, so turn off control in the print dialogue window or choose "let printer manage colours".
One of the telltale signs that you have both printer and software controlling the profile is a magenta cast on prints.

Kudos to you!I was intrigued by your problem and paid a visit to the Adobe Support Community. There have been several reports of Elements printing "muddy and dark". And the culprit? Not Elements but the printer drive. And, if you ever need to lend Elements a helping hand, here are Adobe recommendations. Color management settings for the best print output

Thanks Sepiana for digging into it and for the link. Something to keep handy by my printer for future reference.
