Charles,
You can create a shortcut to launch the Editor directly.
1. Navigate to the Editor .exe file. 2. Right-click on it. 3. Select Send to > Desktop (create shortcut).
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 2024\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe

For Mac users: Quit PSE if it is running. 1. Navigate to original app: Mac Drive (whatever you named it)/Applications/Abobe Photoshop Elements 20xx/ Support Files/Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor.app 2. Double-click that file/app 3. Open the Dock and control click the PSE icon 4. Choose "Keep in Dock" You can now always have the Editor only open with one click. Don't be confused by the "fake" Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor.app in the same list with the Support Files folder. Double-clicking that will simply start up the time-wasting flash window offering the other PSE functions (Organizer and Video Editor). 🙄
