For me, a template is a starting point - my end result seldom looks like the template - but it really helps to get me started
The problem with templates is the photo blocks are seldom the shape you need them to be.
In this case, I reshaped them and then moved them
With busy templates such as this one, I often end up deleting most of what they have provided.
When I keep the elements, it's a more interesting layout, but my inclination is usually to simplify.
After reshaping and moving the photo blocks, I reshaped the background elements - even the outline
I know the finished product looks nothing like the original, but I like how it turned out.
