I have PSE 2024 and am printing to a Canon iP8720 printer. I started having issues printing right after installing PSE 2024. I have a 4x6 picture that I have printed before using PSE 2020 with no problem. I am printing to 4x6 photo paper using a borderless setting. When I print from the Organizer, the image is scaled slightly smaller than 4x6 and a 7/8" white margin is included on the right edge and a 5/8" margin on the bottom edge. If I load the image into the editor and print from there, it works perfectly. I subsequently tried printing an 8.5x11 page with similar settings and the issue showed up again. I can't print it properly from the Organizer, but it works perfectly from the Editor.
Any help would be appreciated.

This is what I learnt. The problem you describe is caused by a bug which showed up back in PSE 2021. Adobe fixed it with an update -- PSE 2021.1. This bug is not present in PSE 2022 and PSE 2023 but surfaced in PSE 2024. Adobe is aware of this problem. Hopefully, they will release an update to fix it in PSE 2024. In between, they suggest you print from the Editor. I strongly recommend you post on Photoshop Elements - Adobe Community to let them know about your problem. |

I found one complaint in the Adobe Community regarding this issue. I added my two cents worth. It is rather annoying having to open files in the Editor just to be able to print.

In order to print a contact sheet or more than one photo on a page, editor takes you to Organizer. But I am getting an error trying to print from Organizer in Elements 2024. I have to go back to my old computer and Elements 11. I am so angry. How will I know when a patch is available?

Hi brenmac, welcome to PSE&M! I also have PSE 2024 (installed on two computers). After reading your post, I tested printing from the Organizer. No problems whatsoever! We need more information. Will you please answer these questions? Your answers will help us with the direction of our troubleshooting. - Are you on a PC or on a Mac? - What does the error message say? - At which point in your workflow does the error happen? |
