Yesterday, friends and I walked in the river valley for 90 minutes. Was chilly but we all needed to get out.  |

So that converts to -22° F.......can't even imagine how that kind of cold! Below are temps the past three days... Celsius. The daily mean has been (get this) ~48 Fahrenheit degrees below daily average. We had to get out. It was all good.  |

Beautiful collage of photos Clive and I like that background paper.
Is it a dry cold or a damp cold you get? In my part of the world it’s usually a damp cold which gets right into your bones...I think I’m right in saying a dry cold is a bit better! Still cold though.

And that’s why I moved from Wisconsin to Florida
But then again, it will be freezing at night in the next few days.
Didn’t move far enough south
We’ve had a cold winter.

Is it a dry cold or a damp cold you get? Too funny. I put this title on this photo yesterday!! Great minds.  Extremely dry here. When it is this cold, it is still cold. However, the coldest I've been as an adult were once in Ontario (1976) and once in Nova Scotia (right on the ocean) in ca 1992 or so. I remember both instances well. Brutally cold because of wind and high humidity even though the air temperatures were not as low as here.  |

Good point, Lillias. Our colds are always damp and lately have been accompanied by high winds. But I sure would like to see what those temps feel like....if only for 10 minutes as unimaginable to me.

I forgot to comment on the background. It is made from a larger version of the sun photo in the lower right. It was blurred and texturized using PSE on board textures. |

Aaah interesting and also accounts for the variety of the shading. I had been thinking you had maybe put a gradient of some kind on it but couldn't quite figure it out. Looks good and works well. |

That was a great way to create the background. The texture works better than a plain background to showcase the photos.
