Thank you Helen. Hard for an old guy to accept YET we are really using AI that we control in Photoshop. I see so many bird photos on international FB sites that are not real and yet most people do not know and swoon over them. Are they pretty? Yes. But they are not reality and misrepresent nature. We will not stop this but at what point will everything be fake? Thanks for the article. Clive

Thanks for the finding the article Helen. Here is a quote from it..
I don't have very good camera equipment but if the light is good, it can take a fairly good photo. Not so good under low light conditions though. It won't always capture what the eye sees.
This where the editing program comes in. It can pretty much overcome those conditions. It looks like AI will increasingly take care of any lack of quality in photographs taken within camera itself. Perhaps a true point-and-shoot no matter what the conditions are. Good for some I expect but taking a photo into Adobe PSE or Corel PaintShop Pro and making it into what the eye actually saw can be some of the interest or hobby of photography. AI might remove some of the enjoyable time and the skill of working with the image programs we have all used for years.
I suppose that is progress as it was in everything. A relative had a business in Desktop Publishing in the early days of computers. It became largely unprofitable when programs were written that could be installed on personal and company computers where everyone could make their own pamphlets and flyers. A comparison to AI perhaps because it is a similar example of technology taking away the need for skills and services.

What I did think sounded promising was improved tracking ability for wildlife and sports photography. Maybe perspective correction.....if it didn't mess up the picture in the process. Time will tell where this is all going.....and what the price factor will be.
