For those interested, there is a free Microsoft windows app that can show thumbnails of raw files (including NEF and Canon CR3) in Windows Explorer. I think it can also show thumbnails of psd files. To see the thumbnails you need to set the Windows viewing options to medium, large or extra large icons.
