I just did a fresh install of PSE 2024 on my PC. I want to just bring some folders from my old catalog into my new 2024 My Catalog. How do I copy individual folders between catalogs and keep all my Tags intact? I do not want to just restore Catalog. I have ten years of various PSE years additions/upgrades restored Catalogs from over the years of restoring and it has become a mess of a Folder tree! Folders I can see but can't delete, etc etc. I just want to bring some folders from my old Catalog into my new 2024 My Catalog and start fresh again with a clean slate and have my tags stay intact. Can it be done inside PSE or do I have to use Windows file explorer..? Any help greatly appreciated.

and keep all my Tags intact If you have your tags permanently written into the files themselves, then they should make the transfer to whichever program you choose, including the Organizer.
If the tags are only saved in a database, then you may lose them.
You should have a command "Write Tags to Metadata" or somesuch where you can write the tags into the files before any transferring is done; this only works from the program that has the database that includes the tags; with your fresh install, you may have lost this database connection.

Source: Create and edit catalogs in Elements Organizer (Scroll down to Moving or modifying media files.)

Old faq from John E Ellis: To summarize: As there is no simple way to rearrange two catalogs (like in Lightroom) the first thing is to write the metadata to tags in the folders you want to join to your main catalog (the shortcut suggested by Buckskin is Ctrl W. Then you import from the main catalog from the selected folders. This will restore the most important data, keywords and categories, captions... but not organization features like albums, stacks or version sets.
