Chris, About one week ago I received my copy of Victoria Bampton's Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC/6 - The Missing FAQ. I am just beginning to find my way around it (500-plus pages) but I am already a fan. So far I have been able to find the answers for each one of my questions. I can definitely see her book occupying the same spot (by my side) as Lesa Snider’s The Missing Manual for Photoshop CC and Barbara Brundage’s The Missing Manual for Photoshop Elements. You can’t beat the bonuses either -- a free copy of the Ebook version as well as a free copy of the PDF file. In addition, my account was upgraded to LRCC/6 Premium Membership.

Thanks Bayla and Sepiana.
I have had lots of good advice and my main problem will be selecting what will work for me.
So far I have just dipped a toe into the waters of CC/PS (NOT LR and only a tiny bit in ACR) and processed some photos using the same methods as I use in PSE. My thinking is that at this early stage I need to get to grips with simple things like where the buttons are (for example) and then move on to stuff that will be new to me eg creating actions and smart objects (I mention these because I happen to have heard of them:))
