More water - and after a couple of warm days it was unfrozen and sheltered enough to give good reflections. Tony

Thanks for the theme Sepiana and dennis9! Here's the water in the Willamette River this morning. 14-stop ND filter, f5.6, iso 160, 2 minute exposure. As a water bonus, it was pouring rain but the long exposure blurred that part out. Bill, beautiful image on more than one count -- composition, tones, and . . . silky, smooth water.

No rain here and cold enough that the water in Bear Creek was frozen but that didn't seem to bother the beavers who it looked like had been recent visitors to the trees on the bank. Tony, the water reflections and the beavers' work add elements of interest to this image. Great job!

(The view from the outdoor space of our new amenity which just opened yesterday) Janice, just in time for this challenge. Sharp and colorful image, lots of visual interest.

Water in three different moods: placid, tumbling and flowing on downriver. Shot this afternoon in The Grove, Carshalton. Dennis Dennis, you succeeded in capturing three water modes in the same shot, enhanced by beautiful tonal range and great DOF. Well done!

Went with boiling water..... Helen, nice job. This is an unusual interpretation of water. Thinking out of the box!

Frank, impressive! The kind of image that keeps one coming back to it. Very artistic interpretation of this theme.

Yesterday, I went for a walk by the river. The top photo was shot directly into the bright sun sparkles in the Oldman River. 1/5,000 second at f16 Clive, your walk paid off. Both images fulfill this theme. Nice capture!

I've been MIA for a couple of months... my camera sits idle for long periods during winter. I just can't get motivated this season. Tonight was an exception, took a drive over to the local reservoir to see if the snow geese were here yet. The answer is yes, they are. And an amazing sunset as well. I was so happy when they decided to take off and fly right through the sunset as I was shooting across the lake. Rick, glad to see you back here. Amazing image! Elements of interest from foreground to background, beautiful colors.

Mart, this birdbath may be neglected but it is perfect for this theme. I like the angle you took your shot, capturing the water reflections.
