Thanks - not a new community for us, but a new community center. It just opened, so there is much confusion as to which groups should meet at which building and there is a lot of adjusting to how to use the rooms. Good news -- there is a bar, a first for us (I always thought a swim-up bar in the pool would've been a great asset) It's just wine and beer in bottles and cans - but so far it seems to be a big hit. The photo on the layout is the main room where the bar is located - the view looking out the back door. The main room is a great place to gather with friends. The cards rooms, etc., are located on either side of the main room. The above photo is looking the other way to the front door - the bar is on the right. I was blown away by the building. They did a wonderful job designing and decorating the building, however, I did find one flaw - They have a golf simulator and the noise from the balls hitting the backdrop is really annoyingly loud. Wouldn't be a problem except the billiard tables share the same space, so every time the ball hits, it makes a noise that scares the heck out of you. Can't be good for the pool players' shots. The simulator is not free, so maybe the cost will keep the amount of time it's used down. That will make the pool players very happy. I can't believe I forgot to photograph the billiard/golf room. I was there twice to take photos, and missed it both times. DUH BTW - I'm always blown away by how well the camera on the phone works. That photo is unedited. (Actually, I'm a little surprised it's straight - I'm not usually good at that.) The photos I can get are amazing and it's such a convenience to always have a camera with me when something catches my eye. I had started taking my point & shoot with me everywhere I went, but I am totally satisfied with the quality of the phone photos, so that camera has been in storage for a few years now.

I'm always blown away by how well the camera on the phone works. Your new community center looks awesome. Cellphone technology is amazing. The internal software and multiple lenses (now) allow the phone to post process images for max results. They stack, blend and reduce noise and they might even level photos...all before you see the results. This cellphone article was posted here previously.

Thanks for the link. Always interesting to read about technology.
— on a mostly unrelated note - why don’t more people turn their cameras and take photos and videos in landscape mode?
