Note: No doubt there are other ways of achieving the same result but this is the way I found best
for me.
Open a new document.
I usually use 12” x 12”/3600 x 3600 pixels being scrapbook size but you can use whatever size suits your project.
Place your card template on top of that.
I made this template myself. Easily done as it’s just two rectangles, the back one skewed as shown.
One rectangle representing the front of the card and the other representing the inside of the card.

To create the cutaway edge it’s best to use a .png image.
So using a .png image of a sunflower I resized it and placed it in position near to the edge of the front page of the card as shown.

This is a Copy of my layers panel at this stage...
With the sunflower layer active press Ctrl/Cmd + Click on the thumbnail to select it. You will see the marching ants around the sunflower.
Go to Select > Modify > Expand - Choose the number of pixels you want to expand the selection by.
In this case I chose 20 but it will all depend on the image used so just experiment yourself.
Go to Select again and choose Inverse...
This inverses the selection so that everything outside of the sunflower is selected instead of the sunflower itself...

In your layers panel now make sure that the Front Card layer is selected and using the Eraser tool brush away the parts of the page you wish to delete and then press Ctrl/Cmd + D to deselect.
At this stage my Layers panel looks like this...if you look closely you will see the front edge of the card has been cut away...
Now we need to add a bit of definition in the form of a drop shadow.
With the Front card layer still selected go to Styles and apply a drop shadow. Adjust the settings of the drop shadow in the Styles settings dialogue box.
One way to find the Style settings dialogue box
Go to Layer > Layer Style > Style Settings.

At this stage I added a texture from Rawpixel which I clipped to the Front of the Card to dress it up a bit.
I also added a gradient colour and a drop shadow to the Inside page.

I completed the page by adding some Text to the Card.
Add whatever decoration you like. It’s up to your own imagination.
I hope you find this helpful.
