Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. The rules are rather simple.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else.
- Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation.
- Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.NOTE The inspiration for this theme was this image by tonyw. |

Looking out I saw a variety of architectural details on people's homes. Processed in B/W to better the focus on the details.    |

I haven't been getting out too much lately so these photographs are from the archives.. Some 15th century German architecture..  The 17th century Guildhall and clock located in Guildford High Street (Surrey, England)..  |

An old chimney on the local library (originally a train station). I got the two doves to pose for me!  The original turret room at the hospital. This was Charlotte's room who left the impressive house (including gardens and a golf course) to the town to be used as a hospital when she died in 1908. The rest has been modernized but the turret room remains and they say you can see her ghost looking out of the window - and if you look closely you can see she was there today (and not the result of photoshopping!) Zooming in for the first shot was a great idea; the architectural details are sharp and clear. Thanks for acknowledging these photos came from your archives! Tony, two sharp and detailed images. The 1st one is my favorite -- portrait orientation (following the vertical lines of the chimney), the diagonal lines of the roof. Very geometric! |

Neo-Classical details at Kenwood House on Hampstead Heath. (visit for free and with a very nice restaurant) Brenda Brenda, great job capturing these architectural details! I really like your second shot -- zooming in, capturing the intricate design of the column. Very effective way to get the viewers’ attention! |
