Have you ever encountered the sort of png file that when you have gone to use it on your page or project discovered that you cannot get rid of the checkered background ? I have and though it hasn’t happened often - thankfully - when it does it can be most frustrating. I have read that these files are referred to as ‘fake’ png files.
Recently Helen asked a question in the Member to Member Photo Advice Board about that very thing.
So I did some research into this and I found that Adobe Express has a free action which removes this type of background for you. This action is available from the link below. www.adobe.com/express/feature/image/remove-background This second link demonstrates said Adobe Action in use... www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFRzszsf1tI And this last link provides more of an explanation about png files and talks about two different kinds of checkered backgrounds and gives directions as to how to deal with them. It is a short and to the point video being only 2 and a half minutes long and I would recommend viewing it as it explains things much better than I can put into words. www.youtube.com/watch?v=-FIYgibZazY
