I made this in 2008 probably using a template because of the intricacy of the design - not exactly in my wheelhouse I started seriously digital scrapbooking about 2004 when I got my first copy of Photoshop Elements. Before that, I was using Word to place photos and text onto projects. It all started with Greeting Card software. I happened upon Digital Scrapbooking while trying to find new graphics for greeting cards - scrapbook kits led to scrapbooking. No info about who made the kit nor the templatePhoto is mine -
How I miss my sweet cats They were only 5 yrs old in this photo - they were big boys, weren't they

I was a paper scrapper long before I discovered digital scrapping, two early pages from 2005 I think.

Jacki - like Lillias said - wonderful memories Never was a paper scrapper, but I know many started that way. It's a hard transition to abandon all that paper and goodies you accumulate. I started with Christmas newsletters. I got a newsletter one holiday season and called the writer to ask how she did it. Told me you could insert photos into your Word document -- and away I went. First year it was a newsletter, then I started making Christmas cards on letter-sized card stock - made 30 the first year - each one different. Then, I started buying software for making Greeting cards, then I got PSE 4 and bought a book "Digital Scrapbooking in Easy Steps". Each chapter had a project teaching you another part of PSE. In the back of the book, there were Digital Scrapbook websites to visit. Between those websites and wanting new graphics to use on my cards - I discovered scrapping. That was 20 years ago and I never looked back. The beginnings of learning PSE & some of my first graphics (lady is no longer in business - I loved her stuff) You'll notice a gradient background, layer style on the text and shadows on the graphics - you have to start somewhere
A more recent card - simple to create - just use letter-sized card stock and fold in half They sell envelopes that fit this size (photo personal) Side fold - scrapbook layout template used - modified to use as a card
