Great action shots Clive, they look like they really mean business.

Wow fabulous images Clive. I can almost hear them squawking at each other and the flap of their wings and the splash of the water. Yet again definitely magazine quality in my book.

Great action shots Clive, they look like they really mean business. Thanks Jackie. Most dust-ups last a few seconds. I've seen them go on for minutes with injuries. Feathers often fly. Wow fabulous images Clive. I can almost hear them squawking at each other and the flap of their wings and the splash of the water. Yet again definitely magazine quality in my book. Thanks Lillias. There is always a lot of honking sometimes with the female partners egging (pun?) them on. Here is a DropBox link to a rather aggressive fight on ice in March 2020.

Gosh they don't mess around do they...LOL. TFS Clive. This was quite extreme, but I watched one fight about 3 years ago that was far worse...actually two females fighting over a nest ?!? Also one fight in autumn (that makes no sense) that lasted over 30 minutes with one nearly dying. It was hard to watch.

Any of you guys ever been bit by a Goose ?
They can sure take a plug out of you, usually behind the calf of the leg when you ain't looking nor expecting it, and it don't make no never mind what time of the year it is; they just like to bite.
Any farm kid worth his salt takes to carrying a stout "Backer Stick" (tobacco stick) and gets pretty good at knocking sense into mean Geese and flogging Roosters; some even go all Renee Zellweger on them.
