Also in my two attempts I created two new threads which I then could not figure out how to delete. Ron

Oh.. that deletes your post, I'm not sure about how to delete threads. You can delete a post you have made in a given thread. However, you cannot delete a thread that you have created. If you find yourself in the latter situation, you need to ask the Moderators to do it for you.

Thanks Marianne, I don't think anyone but a moderator could delete another persons post in the Village, but then I am a failed member of the Facebook Village Suburb and not comfortable with Social media at all. Ron

Ron,
Have you worked out your 'Quoting a previous reply within a thread' problem yet?
You just click on the little Quote button at top right of thread you want to quote.

Maybe you were quoting someone who was also quoting someone so you got a quote within a quote as it were? When that happens I go to BBBode & delete the bits I don't want. That's what I did here.
