Last Saturday our 55+ community hired four bands to perform from 3:30 - 8:30, the event was named ParTee. The HOA asked the photo club for volunteers (4) to capture the event, the payment was free entrance for the four of us. As one can imagine the lighting carried wildly. I used the opportunity after sunset to capture Intentional Camera Motion images; this is a single capture minor tonal adjustment and noise reduction. ISO 100 1 sec f/8

It is neat that you can smear the picture around by just using a camera.
I never really thought about it; but, I guess I live in a 55+ community.
When you turn the corner at the old burnt-out house-trailers past the guy with all the fightin' roosters and start down our dead-end road, with the exception of my wife, who is barely over two-score, and the neighbor kid, who is in his forties, at some over three-score, I am the youngest resident.
The majority are well past eighty and old J.R. is 102 and still going strong = saw him on an M Farmall bush-hogging just the other day; but now, he has a healthy lifestyle; he puts a good half-cup of hog lard in everything he cooks, drinks a couple gallons of homemade elderberry wine every day, puts away a fifth of Maker's Mark every day, and once he lights the first Lucky Strike of the morning, he never has to reach for his Zippo again; he just lights the next one off the one he has burnt to a stub --- and his mind is quick as a Rat Trap; he lives down at the end past the two ol' gals that run a drug store out of their kitchen.

Like how you were able to keep Garth in focus, Peterj! Seems like a perfect image for the event.

here's one of the performers
It looks like they have been wrapped in Saran Wrap and that slick-headed guy has managed to tear it off his face before he suffocated.
I don't know how you accomplished it, but accomplish it you did; and, in one click of the camera if I am understanding correctly.
That Saran Wrap is good stuff; Tigers can't even smell through it.

That Saran Wrap is good stuff; Tigers can't even smell through it.I was sitting in the audience with my zoom camera and set the ISO to lowest, the fstop to a small opening and the shutter speed to about 1 sec or slower. Then I aimed the camera and started moving it prior to exposing and stopped when I anticipated the performer would be in focus. Believe me this is major trial and error.

I actually might prefer this one with everything blurred, Pete. To my eye he kind of interrupts the energy created by the ICM..... Just my thoughts....

For what it's worth, Pete. My pick would be the other one....I would just cover up the man whose face is in focus with your background colors. Maybe someone else will weigh in.
