Lucky me to be in the right place. That's quite a wing span these birds have.

That's quite a wing span these birds have. The wingspan of an adult is 8 to 9 feet!! Although they look cumbersome, they are graceful fliers. When going long distances, they use thermals (air currents) to get up high and the soar in circles in the direction they want to go with only occasional wing flaps
