I had to look up the definition of sculpture and there are a few variations but basically sculpture is the creation of a three-dimensional piece of art using any material. So a nice broad subject that ranges from from statues to a decorative flower pot. So, for this month, I'm sure you can find a few sculptures in your files, around the house or on the road that will work well in black and white. Here are a couple of examples - first the Dancing Hares - a 15ft high large sculpture currently at Wisley gardens in the UK. I took the shot into the sun so somewhat of a silhouette although I did try to bring some of the texture on the hares. The second is a 6in high small ceramic bird (a fantail) that sits in a cupboard at home and came from New Zealand although I took the shot today. The original is quite colourful but I thought I see how it looked in B&W which puts more emphasis on the shape rather than the colour. Looking forward to seeing your B&W sculptures Tony

Sculpture is a great subject for black and white. Thanks for the definition as to what we could consider as that's something that has confused me in the past. A quick run through my LR catalog and I came up with these. The first was taken at Grounds For Sculpture here in NJ. This one was taken at Duke Farms.

In 2016, I made a few small garden inukshuks. Used the wrong adhesive and this one fell apart after one year.

Here's one from this morning at the Scandinavian Heritage Foundation. That's neat Bill. How high is the figure? 20 feet or so?

That's neat Bill. How high is the figure? 20 feet or so? Thanks Clive. Ole Bolle is maybe a little less than that. The doorway into the house is pretty close to standard human scale.

This is in the National Memorial Arboretum Westonbirt in the Cotswolds. I assume carved from a tree trunk.

That looks like an award-winning image to me, PeteB . Hope you have that framed and hanging.
