I just purchased 9 eight months ago when it came out and now they are coming out with 10 for 99.00 dollars. Looks like they are following adobe and coming with new versions every year which makes it very expensive to keep upgrading. Think I'll be happy with 9.5

Last time I went for this pre-order offer. Although my computer had the latest video card, one with OpenGl support above the minimum requirements for Perfect Photo Suite, the program would not work. I had to wait a couple of months for on1 Software to release a fix for it. As a side note -- I was not alone; many people found themselves with a new "not working" version of Perfect Photo Suite. So, this time I will wait and see how this new version fares.

According to some pre-release info from On1 -
"The all new ON1 Photo 10 is the next generation, coming this fall. ON1 Photo 10 is not just a name change, it is a ground up rework of the apps. The new version will deliver seamless app integration, up to 4x faster performance, fast module switching, an integrated mobile workflow, modern user interface, require less memory, and will still include all of the essential ON1 photo editing tools photographers love."
On1 has been updating this program pretty much every year - with each seeming to have better enhancements, workflow, etc. I have become very comfortable with 9.5 so not sure if I will upgrade or not. I'm sort of waiting to see some preliminary specs before pulling the trigger. I have not experienced the problems that Sepiana mentioned.

I didn't get to use Perfect Photo Suite until when on1 Software released an update (which provided a fix for the crashes and hangs being reported). They even offered to refund my money but I declined it. Glad I did so. |

They even offered to refund my money but I declined it. Glad I did so. I rememeber you posting those issues when we over at Elements Village. I must have been lucky because i also didn't experience any issues. Maybe it's because i'm a mac user and the issues were Windows based? I do however like the look of the new On1 Photo 10. At the moment i find more and more that when editing i as usual start in LR but then finish in PPS 9 rather than PSE. |

I just ordered. The 10 video training pack by Matt K plus new improvements to perfect portraits have convinced me to take advantage of this offer.

What is sort of amazing to me - is that I haven't received the invite to pre-purchase this yet! And I have been a regular user/udater/proponent since buying into the program starting with #7. A little disappointed i guess.

Actually they said it did go out but only to a small number of customers. That it would be sent out to most later in the month.
