Howard I enjoyed looking at your new Vietnam images. I wonder if you would share your settings and processing of this image? How many shots to create the needed exposure/post-processing?

Hi Helen, thanks for asking and for your kind words. I didn't do much with this one. Camera data as follows: Sony A7III Zeiss 135mm 1/2500 at F2.8, ISO 1600 Aperture Priority, multi-spot metering, centre spot focus. In terms of post processing, just a tighter crop (it was originally portrait format), minor levels adjustments (mainly upping mid-tones a bit), a spot or two of clone to remove distracting spots and a bit of burn on the background shadows. As you know, I rarely take RAW (I know, I will go to photography hell for it) so it was a jpg. I took two shots but felt this was the best (on the other, one of the women noticed me and was smiling which I think spoiled the candid nature of it). This is the original image...  |

Thanks, Howard. I do remember....now(!) that you had told me you don't shoot RAW. Really love the way the darks and lights, with the highlights on the women's skin look. Thanks for the info on lens and camera settings.
