Lightroom 6 this is now available to download a trial or to buy as a stand alone version, but if you want to upgrade from a previous version its only available as a down load. Hope that changes later

I downloaded the trial version of LR6 and am going to work thru the free tutorials before making a purchase decision. My question about the subscription (CC) service is ... Are the catalogue features and is the software I'm working with on my computer only, or will I be working thru the Adobe site who would have access to all my editing and photos? Thanks for any advice.
