I am seeing some behavior I have never seen before, and suspect it is because of the recent installation of PSE2024.

I placed an image on my desktop, now I wish to delete it (move it to the trash bin), but I get the following message:

PSE is not running (at least in the foreground). I've no idea what it means or how to correct the situation. Help?
