Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. The rules are rather simple.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.

October is when you should buy a used car. What could possibly go wrong? Thanks for the theme Sepiana!

October is when people fill their front lawns with a lot of dead looking stuff! Do wonder where they keep it the rest of the year .... Tony

Yup, that's snow. Today. We always get one or two snows in October. A skiff is forecast for this evening. It will be gone by tomorrow when the sun comes out. Amur maple and mugo pine leaves.

Love the first one, Clive! Thank you. This is an amur maple leaf. The small tree is just outside of our kitchen bay window. I occasionally take bird pix through it. Two house finches were perch there this afternoon but flew off while I was getting my camera.

October is when we see the beautiful colour of the Virginia Creeper Matthew. I am not posting our creeper leaves as they have all but gone because of frosts. Yours are lovely. Fall asters are still blooming as they are frost hardy.
Canada geese live in our area year round. However, the fall migration has started. These are not local geese but arrived today from farther north. Whereas our local geese do not migrate, these (and many thousands) will eventually fly south for the winter.
Ahhh...our linden tree is hanging in to a few leaves. They will soon be in the ground and we will rake them up in a few days.

Our town's school adds these pumpkin signs to planters around town as a fundraiser each October. Helen, nice finding. An October-related event taking place for a good cause.
