Trying something different I added a Postarize Adjustment layer below the Gradient Map Adjustment layer which essentially allows adjusting the numbers of colours applied by the gradient map by setting the number of levels in the Postarize layer. I finished up setting it at 10. I also used soft light for the Gradient Map layer. Not sure I like the result but I was interested to see what would happen! Portrait from files. I have found that this challenge and your last one introduced me to things that I would never think to try. I can't say I like the one above but I do like your way of experimenting with different "techniques". So thanks and keep on inspiring us to be open to new ideas.

Today I played with the render filter and created two different trees to try with the tut. With the first one I duplicated the tree and added a touch of canvas texture and poster edges. I also used NIK CE filters to enhance the colors and details.
