Hi Guys, just preparing a Christmas and New Year GIF of a Robin singing, into which I wish to insert a PNG Image containing the greeting text which I have already prepared.
I have been struggling for a while now trying to follow this Advice:-
community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/how-to-add-a-static-image-to-a-moving-gif/m-p/8973276
I've managed to insert the text PNG frame into the sequence as a "smart object" but it ain't smart enough to overlay each of the 22 GIF Frames! The only result I'm getting is the GIF playing but the text just appears as a single frame at the end of the sequence and since the timing is 0.05 seconds, it's not only unreadable, It's also reminiscent of an old family 8mm film with a skipped frame!😅
Can anyone help me achieve my aim? Thanks. Edit: Thanks to the community, I have been advised that the source of the Gif I have used is "headlikeaorange" to whom I am grateful.

This sounds difficult. Can you post one or two of the GIF still images and the actual word message? I have limited PSE skills and struggle with GIFs at the best of times. Can you paste the text message into each still image that will used in the GIF? A lot of work and the static text will have to be precisely pasted into exactly the same location in all images. I recently posted this two-frame GIF. One has a "talk bubble" and one does not. If there had been many still images of the jay, I don't think I'd be capable of adding the same "talk bubble" message in all images. Good luck. Clive .

Hi hexeta Please, try unchecking the "Animate" gadget in the "Save for Web" dialog. This checkbox forces creating a new animation. Unchecking it makes PSE to use the existing one.

Just to build on what has already been provided. As Sepiana stated this needed to be in the Member to Member advise. 1. Create your animation without the text and save for the web as an animation as a gif. 2. Open the gif animation. 3 Add a text layer above 4 Save for the Web as a GIF with the animation unchecked.

Thanks guys, I have no idea how to post to the Member-to Member Photo Advice board. So far, I think Andrei has taken me a little closer but whilst the complete GIF now has the PNG file superimposed, the GIF is way too fast, ...that's if it is using all 22 frames (23 if the PNG frame is included)
If I can figure out how to access the advice board, I'll upload the files.

Thanks Sepiana, thread created and uploads done on the other board. Had to convert the Text file from PNG to GIF as PNG isn't supported.
