Hi everyone,
Would you like to participate in this challenge? Just post a photo or photos which will be your interpretation of the theme.
The rules are rather simple.
Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else.
Your photo(s) should be taken during the week of the theme.
You are allowed to do some photoshopping.
You are to experiment and, most of all, have fun.

Thanks Sepiana for timing this so perfectly for me as I just took this photo yesterday of a butterfly kite 'hanging' in the air. As photoshopping is allowed for the challenge I cloned the kite twice to fill up the canvas a bit. It was part of the annual Festival of the Winds at Bondi Beach which is always held on the second Sunday of September in celebration of the arrival of spring down under. i.cubeupload.com/rMqUq3.jpg |

Sydney, very colorful image to start this challenge. I really like the hanging-in-the-air-interpretation. As a side note -- I have to admit. You got me confused with your reference to perfect timing and yesterday. I was sure I had posted this challenge today. How could it be? I had to read your post twice. I guess I need more coffee.  |

Yes, it does indeed, particularly in this kind of challenge when you are supposed to take your photo during the week of the theme. I even thought I had posted this challenge on the wrong day. |

Yes, it does indeed, particularly in this kind of challenge when you are supposed to take your photo during the week of the theme. I even thought I had posted this challenge on the wrong day. It gets even more confusing when you cross the International Date Line. Is today tomorrow? Or was that yesterday? I've only been across it once, on a scuba diving trip to the Philippines, and I was totally lost as to what day it was back home and what day I actually had to be prepared to fly home again. Thankfully it was a group trip and the leader was able to keep track better that I could. I did some online golfing with a guy from Australia (we had guys in the group from Germany, Spain, England, and all 4 US time zones as well as the Aussie), and I marveled at how he was always ready on the right day and time. He clearly was more with it than I was. |

Oh, so sorry Sepiana! I just assumed I could enter it into the challenge since I took it on Sunday which, I felt, fell within the week of the challenge. From now on I will only submit pics taken on the day or afterwards following your announcement of a challenge |

This small torch is hanging on the side of the oven unit in our kitchen - for a good reason. The bulb in the oven light gave up the ghost. I have a replacement bulb, but we are unable to unscrew the glass holder which seems to have "cooked" itself on to the oven ceiling and resists all attempts to unscrew it. So I now have to use the torch to inspect my pastry, etc. through the glass oven door.

Brenda - Great catch! We have such a torch hanging somewhere in the pantry. I never thought of shooting it. Well done!
Tony - I love your capture of these naturally-hanging cobwebs, courtesy of Mother Nature. So eerie!
Bayla - Beautiful jewelry set! No wonder you usually let it hang around your neck or from your ears. This is quite an interesting interpretation of this theme.
Julie - Great finding! You captured things that hang (bags) in an unusual place (washing-line). Interesting game too!

Beautiful! Such an original capture! How did you even see this little leaf hanging by a thread? Wait! I know the answer; you saw it with the eyes of a photographer.
