I certainly hope this forum becomes as productive as EV ... I'm a retired Internet Security geek who got started with photography in the 7th grade exposing, developing, and printing B & W. I have boxes and boxes of slides exposed in the Med while I was in the US Navy. Digitizing and organizing is quite a task. I've since moved on to the digital world and just love the cost of film (shoot many use few)  . I use Photoshop Elements 13 and Perfect Photo Suite 9.5 to fix my captured mistakes. I have an extensive analog music that I recorded onto reel to reel tape that I'm in the process of digitizing also. I like to use my own music to enhance slide shows. Regards, Pete |

I don't even know how one goes about digitizing slides. Well digitizing slides can be accomplished a number of ways: 1)Use a slide projector to display the slides on a good quality screen and take a picture with a digital camera. I started this way by mounting an 8.5x11 inch piece of matte photo paper in a small box lined with black paper. I used a tripod and angled my camera slightly down and the projector slight up at the target. 2)Use your printer scanner if it has slide attachments 3)Purchase a dedicated slide converter |
