I just heard about the (now imminent) passing of Elements Village. I was a very casual user there; most times it would be weeks or even months between visits, but whenever I was there it was a convivial place, with lots of informative posts on a wide variety of subjects. I read a quite lot, and while I didn't have much to say it was only because I was all too conscious that folks there knew a lot more than I did so it made good sense to just listen and learn. I'll be doing the same here.

At this point we are all EV "refugees", committed to continuing that legacy and moving it forward. Your story is mine, really. However, when the closure was announced, a concerted effort was made to figure out how to continue and I realized what I found there was too vital to let pass, and ended up volunteering to help out. Anyway, again, welcome, and hope you will revisit often!

Hello All, I finally got around to registering here at the new PSE&M. Looks different for sure. It will be great to still be able to communicate with everyone from EV. Thanks to everyone who helped set up this new site. Looks good. It will probably take me a while to figure out all the bells and whistles on this site. But it is good to be able to stay in contact with everyone. Have a great day!

Great to see you here. Bayla

Welcome to Mark, Pete, sjb3 and Mike! I hope you like the new forum. It is a little different than EV, but it has a lot of nice features that just take awhile to get accustomed to.

Now that I'm finding my way around, I really should introduce myself. I'm former Villager Mariangela, from Richmond, near Vancouver in British Columbia. While I miss the old Village, I'm happy to find so many Villager friends here, and on Facebook. I'm looking forward to catching up with you all.

Welcome angelag (nee Mariangela)! I am glad you finding your way around here. There are number of pretty cool improvements here (like that gray arrow head there on the right side of your screen); finding them is kinda like an Easter egg hunt!
