Hi I use Windows 7 and I am trying to print off some User Guide sheets for my iPad. They are PDF and some sheets the font is too small other sheets it is readable. I don,t understand custom scale. Can someone help me please . I do not know how to control it all. I realize I should know these things but I seem to be forgetting so much of even the basic things that I learnt. Its very frustrating. Thanks. Storm

Storm, I need some clarification.
How are you trying to print these PDF files? You posted on the Editor board. Are you importing these files into Elements? What are you doing exactly?

Sorry Sepiana I will try to explain. There is a Users Guide on Apple.com for my iPad Air 2 and I want to print some sheets off it No I am not in the Editor I am using Windows 7 . I suppose I have put my question in the wrong section again but did not know where else to put it . I did not think it was an Apple question. They show up in the usual manner I thought it was PDF. I do not know how to fill out the page setup correctly so that each page is readable. My apologies. Storm

Storm, there is more than one day to do what you want.
You can look at the printing dialog. There should be an option to, for example, "fit on page".
What I usually do in a situation like this is to copy the text onto a Word document. Then, when I click on the text and the bounding lines show up, I use a corner handle to drag the size out, to make it larger.

Hi Storm As Sepiana suggests, just running your mouse across the text with the left button held down should highlight the text. You can then paste this into Word/or equivalent, format it as required and print out as normal from there. In fact, if you click in one place, hold Shift down before clicking another place, that should highlight all in between the two points. Again, paste into Word and print from there. I wonder if the User Guide is opening in your internet browser? What do you use? Possibly it's Internet Explorer. If so, when your page(s) are open, move your cursor around towards the lower part of the screen and you will get more controls, something like this perhaps: If you do, then the size control is in the middle, depending on your version but it will be there somewhere. Don't worry about 'Custom size' - ignore that one!. It needs to be set on 100% if what you see on the page on the screen is to go onto A4 (I don't know the American equivalent but will be your usual size for a normal letter?) The other setting would be 'Shrink to Fit' and that should fit your normal letter size too. If you have saved the document and opened it in Adobe Reader, the size control could be at the top, or in 'View'. Alternatively, when you click to print, does your printer software show a 'preview' along with the other bits for printing? Perhaps when you are not trying so hard, you'll manage to do what you want. It's certainly frustrating when you just can't get your head around something, eh? I have similar issues a lot of the time nowadays Well, I hope this helps you and doesn't confuse you even more. I'm sure you'll 'get it' very soon Julie
