Don't judge me, but I recently got my first Windows 7 computer. Previously I used a Windows XP machine, on which I ran Photoshop Elements 2. PSE2 was released in 2002 and, according to some forum posts, doesn't run on Windows 7. So, I'm looking into getting Photoshop Elements 13.
Have you had good experiences in running Photoshop Elements 13 on Windows 7? It seems like Photoshop Elements 13 has gotten a lot of poor reviews.
Looking at reviews on a few retailers, it seems several people have had poor experiences, especially in getting PSE13 installed. One reviewer said, "Trying to install elements is a complete pain... I'd rather go to the dentist or the DMV than go through this again."
Do you have any experiences with PSE13 on Windows 7?

I've been running PSE 13 on Windows 7 since I got it almost a year ago, with new problems whatsoever. It runs perfectly. Installation was easy and flawless. That reviewer must be an idiot, not to put too fine a point on it.

Hi classic; welcome to PS&M!
I was running windows 7 when I first got PSE13 and had no troubles installing or running it. It is a 64-bit app, so there was some disappointment that some legacy 32-bit addons wouldn't work with it, but really it is very nice. PSE has advanced SO far from the version 5 and 7 I used to use, and you should be able to find a copy at a very good price right now.
Let us know how it goes; if you do run into any problems, well, that is what we are here for!

Hi classic35mm, welcome to PSE&M!
I have Elements 13 on Windows 7 on two computers. No problems! The installation was smooth sailing and this program runs flawlessly.
Windows 7 is very particular about permission levels. Just make sure to install Elements 13 as an administrator (even if you are doing it from a standard user account). Just right-click on the installer file and select "Run as administrator".
As a side note -- There have been confirmed reports that Elements 2 will run on Windows 7 provided you install it as an administrator and use the Compatibility mode.

<snip> Do you have any experiences with PSE13 on Windows 7? I have PSE 13 running on 2 Windows 7 computers ... no problems for me! It takes full advantage of 64 bit architecture.
