Where can you get a simple point-and-shoot camera for a reasonable price in the London area? It has to be a physical store, not online like Amazon.

I don't live in London but there are some national chains that have stores in London.
LONDON CAMERA EXCHANGE
PC WORLD
You could also look at JOHN LEWIS department stores.
All these companies have websites with 'Store Finder' options.
If you need any further info let me know.
I'm sure someone who lives in London will be able to provide more options.

Try Jessops, which is a a chain of stores, they should have stores in London.
