Thought I'd try using my 75mm f1.8 portrait lens with a Sigma double element close up filter, for close ups as it already focuses pretty close.

I am not a macro shooter, although a macro lens is on my wish list. I love the detail you got in this shot and the lighting is beautiful.

Thank you hmmca, I sold my macro lens a month ago as it was getting little use and I prefer longer focal lenghts for close ups, the 75mm on fourthirds is the equivalent angle of view of a 150mm lens
