This was one of many wonderful images submitted by Wayne this week and I chose this one in particular because it kind of has a Lord of the Rings quality to about it. I can see all the little hobbits dancing under the big tree…..

Canoes on Lake Louise in Alberta by Storkington

Lake Louise, nestled in the Canadian Rockies, just has to be one of the most beautiful places on the planet..... In Simone's image, I love the colors of the canoes against the glacial green of the mountain waters. I also love the way the geometric shape of the group of canoes highlights the angularity of the mountains. What a great scene!

Wonderful choices! As soon as I saw Canoes on Lake Louise I had a feeling it was bound for IOW glory - an outstanding image in every way imaginable. Congratulations Simone and goodonyas as well to Wayne, KathyLee and Tom for their fab images this week - keep up the great work

Wonderful selections Pat although I am sure those Hobbits would be yelled at by the golfers if they were dancing on the Green! LoL I loved how the SOLID steps and railing became almost fluid in the shadow, the twirls just left me Dizzy and Simone hasn't got back to me with my query as to what happened to canoe 99 or if canoe 66 had capsized? LoL Wonderful work everybody Congratulations.
