Hi everyone,
Would you like to participate in this challenge? Just post a photo or photos which will be your interpretation of the theme.
The rules are rather simple.
Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. Your photo(s) should be taken during the week of the theme. You are allowed to do some photoshopping. You are to experiment and, most of all, have fun.

It's soybean harvest time here and the farmers are busy during what has fine spell of fall/autumn weather. It's been dry so when the combines are combining it's very dusty but I caught this one on its lunch break with a full load of beans on board Tony

That's an amazing piece of machinery Tony!! Nice photo! Timing was good on this as Harvest Share was on campus today offering free bounty to those in need/want. Specials today were apples, onions and beautiful squash. Thanks for what's sure to be a colorful theme Sepiana!! (Go Cubs!)

Harvesting dryland field corn on the high plains. Unloading the combine hopper - when the trailer is full the load is hauled to the elevator in Fleming for storage. This is a stitched panorama from 5 images. Another shot of the combine on a cutting pass. My wife is riding along in the jump seat. This is her 92 year old father's farm, land he farmed for more than 50 years, now rented out to a couple of younger 40 something guys.

Bill,
Your wish came true. I guess congratulations are in order. Now, with the STL Cardinals out of the ballpark, I will say . . . Go Cubs!

A slightly different take on the theme - I give you the name of one of our local hostelries.
Excellent entries so far! Thank you Sepiana for the constant supply of interesting themes.

I have to say in reply after last night excitement ... Go Jays! And it might well finish up a cross-border World Series Tony

Getting back to harvest time - here's where much of our local harvest finishes up - at the grain elevator where it can be shipped out by boat or by rail. No boats or trains in today but plenty of trucks unloading. In the distance is the St Clair River and the US border (the trees on the horizon are in Michigan) Tony

Sepiana I thought you were a Cubs fan?? And Tony I agree... Go Jays! Cubs fan . . . if the Cardinals are not in the picture. Strange, isn't it? The Cardinals are in Missouri. But that seems to be the norm. South of Champaign, IL . . . it is a sea of red, Cardinal red.
Anyway, go Cubs!

Rick – These are beautiful images! A slice of Americana indeed. I really like the panorama one. Dennis – Very creative interpretation of this theme; you were indeed thinking out of the box. Great capture!
Tony – This is a very interesting image and a very nice finishing touch for this theme. Great finding!

While driving in the countryside, I stumbled upon this harvest icon -- a bale of hay.
