Well, this is embarrassing, but I need to guidance! When I click on a JPG file on my desktop PSE is launched, but the image is not displayed. I really don't know what to make of this behavior. Additionally, in case this is helpful, if I drag an image onto the PSE icon the same thing happens. What has changed?

It is hard to pinpoint the culprit in this situation. I am inclined to look at a corrupted Open With command. Try reestablishing this connection again. Right-click on the file, select Open With, and choose Elements as the default program. Just make sure you are pointing to the Editor .exe file. Also, Elements has a history of corrupted desktop shortcuts, especially the one originally created when you install this program. Try creating a new shortcut to directly launch the Editor. |

Thanks Sepiana. There were 1 or 2 other things that weren't making sense so I just went ahead and reinstalled and updated. All seems to be right with the world again.
