Hello everyone. I usually only use PSE to clone and do repairs to my images that Lightroom doesn't do a well. I thought id try and play with a few filters. Hope you enjoy and please feel free to add any comments that may help me learn ..Thanks.

I quite like the feel of your image mxwizard! What filter(s) did you use to achieve it?
Not that I think it needs any further treatment, but one thing I like to do is experiment with blending in some of the original back in. It is pretty easy and safe to do by adding a layer mask and then painting with a low opacity brush on the layer mask. You can selectively soften the effect of the filters just a bit to draw the eye to some detail, for example.

Thanks for the tip....Im getting back into the hobby after 20 years away. The actual shooting is still there , but this new fangled software technology ....well that's a story unto itself. A very steep learning curve and being creative with the software is a slow learning process as yet....Oh I used Accent Edges and I don't recall the other filter....Is there a way to find this in the history?....The history window doesn't go back far enough I think, Lightrooms does. Cheers.

mxwizard, while I liked your original I think I prefer the detail that you brought back with your revision. There is a lot that can be achieved using the PE filters alone, or in combination with others. So have fun trying out different combinations! I hope you'll post some more of your experiments

Another option is to give the image more depth & bring the outer part of the image back into focus.
