I can't seem to find any "user control panel" where one can address such things as adding a signature and setting preferences; there must be one, as I see many have added signatures.
Where do I go ?
Also, how about "instant e-mail notification"; does this site have that ability ?

Go to Profile>Edit Profile. The Personal tab allows you to edit your signature. The Notifications tab lets you get email notifications, but it doesn't appear to be instant yet....it says 'coming soon'

I found it.
Now, how on earth do I add an avatar; I have never had one in my whole entire life ?
Do I need to resize a picture before using it; and, if so, what are the dimensions ?

I had a bit of trouble getting the image link to work until I figured out I needed to delete some of the bracketed portions at both ends.
I have been posting on forums since 2005 and this is the first avatar I have ever had; I feel like I have arrived.
