Is anyone else seeing this? When posting using Internet Explorer 11 the button is missing. If I use Firefox 42 it's there. It's been like that for a while and I've lived with it but did wonder if it's just me or others are seeing the same thing and does someone know a fix.

Tony, yes, that's just one of the problems I have with IE 11, though not every time, and other buttons go missing now and then.
My worst problem is loading speed. Each time I click on anything, the ads vanish and take between 10 and 30 seconds to reload and during this time the site is not responding. I have no problems with other web sites and switched to Firefox for this one alone several months ago.
Since nobody else seems to have any trouble, I figured it must be something in my computer or security settings and tried to find it for weeks. But I've given up.

Glad I'm not alone - and I'm missing all those other buttons that the Major sees. Maybe they will come back when I move to IE10 and Edge - I'll have to check my laptop - but I'm holding off on my desktop until the bugs are squashed.

Tony,
I use Internet Explorer 11 on two computers. No buttons missing! I also use Safari on my IPhone. No buttons missing either.

Works for me on Firefox, Safari and Chrome - just not on Internet Explorer which is the default browser on my desktop. Very strange and I've not yet found a setting in IE11 that would explain it.

How odd! Do you perhaps have any add-ons that are specific to IE, an ad blocker, or some setting changes that you made to IE? I seem to recall that there was an issue for Sepeiana, and the resolution turned out to be a browser setting change she had made. Maybe she will remember better than I what it was.

If I remember it correctly, I couldn't see the description under each Board name. Because my monitor is a high-resolution one and it is hard to read what is on the screen, I had gone to Internet Options>Accessibility> . . . and turned on "Ignore font sizes specified on webpages". Then, I had also made this change -- Command bar>Page>Text Size>Largest. So, I kept the change I had made in Accessibility but reduced the page text size to Larger. It did the trick!

Thanks for that Sepiana; what a fine memory you have! Do you think something like that might be causing the problem?

Tom, I don't really know but . . . it is a possibility. I know there are other sites I visit regularly for which I need to reduce the page text size to Medium or I won't be able to see some of the text, tabs, buttons, etc. Fortunately, there are not too many of them.
Something else that might help is to add this forum's site to the Compatibility View mode -- Tools>Compatibility View Settings>Add this website.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've tried all the font size possiblilities and compatability view mode etc but so far none has worked which is strange as I thought that would fix it based on your helpful suggestions. I'm beginning to suspect an add-in is causing the problem but haven't found it yet. As it's working fine in Chrome and Firefox I'll stick to those for now.

Tony,
This is a very long shot in the dark. Do you by any chance use Adblock Plus? Could this add-on be the culprit?

Tony, This is a very long shot in the dark. Do you by any chance use Adblock Plus? Could this add-on be the culprit? I do have it but it's disabled. I thought it might be SnagIt as that was the last add-on I can remember adding and I haven't always had this problem. But I just disabled that and still no joy. I give up! Tony

I'm still following this discussion with great interest and, like Tony, have tried all suggestions. No change. Resetting IE to its original settings was among the first I tried several times months ago. I don't use AdBlock.
Incidentally, I did not have any of these problems the first couple of months after this site was started, and nothing had changed about my computer when it did.
