Tony and Rita, this is another long shot, but would one of you go into your profile settings and see what theme you are using? If it is not default, try setting it to default.

Tom, I don't see anything called Theme in the Profile. I assume you mean the Profile in the menu below the banner at the top?

Click Profile then Edit Profile (it's over there on the right side of the screen). You'll then get a screen with a bunch of tabs across the top. Click the Settings tab and scroll down to Forum Theme; what is it set to?

Tom, it was set to default. Rita Thank you for doing that Rita; I thought it was a long shot and it was! The mystery deepens!

hank you for doing that Rita; I thought it was a long shot and it was! The mystery deepens! Thanks are due to you rather, Tom. I appreciate any suggestion very much. Although Firefox substitutes very well, I prefer to clear up this type of malfunction simply in order to understand what my computer is doing. Rita

Amazingly I finally discovered what the problem was. IE11 had tracking protection turned on for this site. I turned it off and magically the Upload via postimage.org box appeared. I guess IE11 was trying to protect me against something nasty but I assume I'm still safe as Chrome, that I had had to switch to, didn't worry about it! Only discovered it because my banking site stopped working properly and I discovered the button in the search window that turned protection on and off - in that case it was trying to prevent my bank from knowing it was me which the bank obviously didn't like! Security is great - too much security can be a problem

Good Job Tony! I seemed to always be in conflict with IE, so I dumped it years ago in favor of FF. I never looked back.

Tony Tony, glad you solved the problem. Thanks for posting the solution! It will undoubtedly help other members who may encounter this problem. BTW, I am intrigued. I have IE11 on two computers (Windows 7 and Windows 8.1). I checked Tracking Protection; it is enabled for this site on both computers. I hadn't even noticed it. However, I don't have the problem you describe. I wonder which variable is at work in my case.

I turned off Tracking Protection a long time ago, because it interfered not only with this forum, but a few other sites as well, where it prevented me from entering info. It fixed the problem with the other sites, but not this one. Then a little while ago I reset IE11 to default after a massive WIN Update and since then there are no more buttons missing, but loading pages still takes for ever. In other words, everything works but very very slowly and I still mostly use Firefox.
BTW, I installed IE11 on my tiny new WIN 10 Laptop/Tablet and no problems there. But that came with free (for a short time) McAfee pre-installed, while on my desk top I use Norton Security. So now I wonder whether that has anything to do with it. I like Norton much better and plan to change to it.

General Comment: Another option when browsers misbehave is emptying the browsers cache? That sometimes corrects problems that pop up.
