There were so many excellent entries this week that narrowing my choices down to just a few was harder than usual. I admire the creativity and use of all the different techniques possible with the fantastic software available to us these days.

Yet another of your wonderful sketch effect portraits. The Black and White conversion suits the subject perfectly and you have mastered the sketch effect technique here.
Christmas Cactus by Dandc
A beautiful macro capture of a very pretty delicate flower, it amazes me that cactii can produce such lovely flowers from their prickly, spiny plants. I love the translucency of the petals and vibrant colours.
Sharing lunch by JJr1770 – Judy
An excellent capture of these cute little feathered friends (forgive my ignorance on being able to name the species). The subtle colours of the background and framing complement the image perfectly.
Old Barn by Preeb
Both your submissions of the old barn caught my eye and the dramatic colour version came close to being included here, but in the end the black and white conversion won. What a threatening dramatic sky – was there a big storm brewing?
