I have just started using PSE 14. In PSE 11 I used to be able to open an album, select certain tabbed images and move that group around at will within the album. It was a facility I used a lot. Has this feature been withdrawn during the last three years? Now whenever I try to make the same sort of selection in PSE 14 the images are presented in a separate window, which is not what I want. Am I missing something?

The only change in the behavior of albums in PSE14 compared to PSE11 is that the alphabetical order has been added. Otherwise, you can still choose the 'Album' sort order. When in that mode, you can move around individual items to change their order. You can also move around several selected (highlighted) items at the same time. I don't understand what you mean by the 'images are presented in a separate window'?

My apologies if my first post was unclear. Let me try again.
In PSE 11 I used to open a tagged album, in album order, select all the contents, then search the album with a specific tab.
That action would have two main effects: Firstly, at the top of the window containing the album another narrow, horizontal window would open showing that part of the tag hierarchy featuring the search tag in use, against which there would be a tick, the selected items in the album would be reduced to those items containing the search tag. Secondly, I would then click on the tag at the top of the window and the horizontal hierarchy would disappear, and the display would revert to the full album with the selected images ready to be dragged around.
In PSE 14 I open an album, call it Italy, containing 319 images. I want to get the pictures in alphabetical order of visits and use the Siena tag which finds 32 examples. But they are in a new window, removed from the Italy album, so I cannot select them and move them around, and the horizontal tag hierarchy is nowhere to be seen.
I hope the above makes my problem a little clearer for you.

I hope the above makes my problem a little clearer for you. I think I understand better... I have no longer PSE11, only PSE10,12,13 and 14. What you are describing in PSE11 seems to be identical in PSE12. PSE13 and 14 show the new behaviour when using tags to select in a given album. Instead of the horizontal panel on the top, split between the different categories, you use the panel on the right. You select the tag/keyword to identify the 'Siena' items. Only those are shown in the thumbnails space. You can select them all (highlight them) then click on the selected tag/keyword in the tags panel on the right. The highlighted items appear highlighted among all the pictures in the album. You can then move them around. Does this solve your problem?

That is the solution, Michel. Once again I am indebted to you and grateful for your assistance.
You say 'I have no longer PSE11, only......'. An interesting way of putting it. I, too, have uninstalled PSE 11 and when I return home it will go straight into the rubbish bin because I believe it was the root cause of the problems encountered earlier when it came to saving tag and album markers.
My thanks again for your help.
