IOW for the week Dec 1 - Dec 6, 2015. Well done to everyone who continued to post images to their galleries this week, thankfully the glitch that prevented us from viewing them all in one thread has now been fixed. As always there was plenty to see and admire, thanks to everyone for sharing their stories through their photos. Hope you like my selections for the week. Blackmutt / Morning FogThe light in this image is just right, great subject, composition and framing, my eyes just want to roam all over this scene. Alexr / The Holly and the IvyVery creative, I like the idea of Xmas being frozen in time, those bright red berries add a gorgeous ‘pop’ of colour. Angelag / A barred owl comes to visitI love how you captured this owl looking so pensive – those eyes are amazing, all set off perfectly with such a delightful and dreamy bokeh background. Jjr1770 (Judy) / Inquisitive JuncoReally liking the low-down level that was used in this shot – not very often do you get to eyeball a bird as cute as this one, also loving the subtle and intriguing colours and textures in the background. IOW for this week goes to – Preeb / A walk on the beachMy idea of heaven is to walk along the waterline, sun on my back, wind in my hair and a beach that stretches out to the horizon. Those footsteps in the sand could be mine, and I just love how you’ve framed this idyllic scene, it’s straight out of my book of dreams. i.imgur.com/xCa2qHQ.jpg

Jackie, thank you for judging the IOW this week; though choices lay before you, but what a bunch you have picked!
Congratulations to everyone recognized this week, especially to Preeb for the IOW.

Thank you Jackie for choosing my Junco photo among your choices this week. Congratulations Preeb on your IOW - many of us up north in the cold would love to be on that beach; and congrats to my fellow runners-up - beautiful images; different and unique!

Jackscrap, great selection and very nice assessments of each; but also thanks for including my effort amongst them, which was a very pleasant surprise. And well done Preeb for taking the top spot. I do have to confess, since you mention the berries in mine, that the holly in my garden never bears any fruit, so these are actually off a pyracantha bush; I hope that little bit of subterfuge is acceptable...

Jackie Thanks for taking on the task this week, and for including my owl. The selections are especially impressive. As for Preeb's well-deserved I.o.W.--wouldn't I just love to be on that beach right now, instead of being in the midst of some typical Vancouver winter rain! AGG

I haven't had a chance to login for quite some time as I have been in the USA for almost a month now and am only able to get on the net about an hour each day, but what a day to get back to this wonderful community and see such a fabulous selection of images you have honoured this week Jackie! Congrats to all of those in the limelight this week - you all get a standing ovation from me
